What is 'Your Dashboard'?

This guide will explain what Your Dashboard is, and how you can get the most out of it.

One of the fantastic features on Do-it.org is the option to customise your profile, so that here on Your Dashboard, you get personalised suggestions for volunteering, and regular updates from your favourite organisations, and some other great features too.

From the Your Do-it button in the top right hand corner:

select Your Dashboard from the drop-down menu:

1) 'Opportunities you have registered interest in'

The first section of Your Dashboard shows all the opportunities you have registered an interest in, and the progression of your volunteering journey:

This is so you can keep track of your volunteering, whether you're waiting to start; have started already; or weren't successful this time and need to search again!

2) 'Suggested opportunities'

When you have entered your interests in Volunteering Preferences, this section of Your Dashboard will give you personalised suggestions of volunteering roles you may be interested in. See here for more information on updating your preferences.

3) 'Your saved opportunities'

As you browse the great opportunities on Do-it.org, you may want to save the opportunity so that you can come back later to read more or register your interest.

The option to Save for later is at the top and bottom of an opportunity page:

And once you've done that, it will show up here for you to look at again when you're ready:

4) 'Your saved jobs'

On Do-it.org, you can now search for jobs in the beyond-profit sector. And as with opportunities, there may be times when you want to save a job so you can come back to it later. If you do, it will be shown on Your Dashboard here:

5) 'Organisations you subscribed to'

A great feature of the website is the ability to subscribe to organisations that you are passionate about and interested in, so you can get their updates straight to Your Dashboard:

So use the search bar at the top of the page:

To find an organisation you want to 'follow', and click on Subscribe:

6) Near you

For a map of opportunities and organisations near you, or near a chosen postcode, you can use this feature:

If you click 'Use current location', your browser may ask you for permission to let Do-it.org use your location - please grant permission in order to use this feature.

If you're using a mobile device, you will have to turn on your GPS to 'Use current location'.
